Victor Gaultier obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich, focusing on composite materials and lightweight structures. Alongside his studies, Victor was a member of the EPFLRT and AMZ Racing Formula Student teams, developing high-perforance and reliable carbon rims for electric race-cars. During his master studies, he also gained experience working for the car manufacturer BMW-ALPINA in the field of vehicle dynamics. He concluded his studies by writing his master’s thesis at CMAS Lab about “Design and Fabrication of a Periodic Sandwich Core Made via Local Welding and Reshaping of Thin-ply Thermoplastic Composites”. Now, Victor is conducting his PhD at CMAS Lab in the field of thin-ply fiber-reinforced thermoplastic-based composites.
